Pegasus II mini DV seadicam + GH1

Larger Steadicams most certainly do have springs, although not configured in this manner.

@912 the 912 Tcam had the handle underneath the cam , like a merlin , this miniCam has the other approach which others say puts more strain on wrist/arm as it always trying to force your wrist downwards.. why the design change? and you say its easier to use than prev Tcam.. how so??

also i think many people here will have an interest , certainly the Tcam seemed to be the best merlin beater i saw ..any chance of english details/ price ect
many thanks for posting here.

Interestingly small and the footage is amazingly good.
Question is, how much? how much does it weigh?

Yes,you are right,
but,minicam is for light machine,
and handle more close gimbal,
TCAM is type bow, balance and control is hard to type vertical like miniCAM,
especially beginners.
MiniCAM for the less than 2.0kg camcorder,
but stronger can use more than this weight, he he
can see the picture below.
sorry my english is poor, thank's for your questions.

Can you explain this in english? So you are saying that you're design is
better than Merlin because up and down movements are minimize because
the handle is not on same plane as the gimbal?

Hi,
I don't know about price, please contact my friend Skyler, thank you,
MiniCAM weight is probably 500g, not include balance weight.

Hi,
Merlin and 912TCAM is both type bow, MiniCAM is diference to them,
can see the picture in http://s810802.pixnet.net/blog/post/11712058
handle is close to gimbal, it can save more energy for wrist.

Yeah Vitality. The price is kinda steep and that does not include the shipping.
Blackbird Stabilizer is much cheaper.

First, Blackbird do not sell for less ($485 basic ver).
Plus it is different type.

If this guys could slightly improve the design to allow weight to be quickly raised up to stem to make it extra portable it can be perfect.

MiniCAM and 912TCAM is high accuracy product,
see the MiniCAM video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ocy4bClsABk&feature=player_embedded
and 912TCAM video http://www.motionbox.com/videos/a696dbb4111fe7c229
both have long drop time,
long drop time meaning high accuracy gimbal,
912TCAM gimbal include 7 high class bearings,MiniCAM include 6 high class bearings,
and made by CNC, material is aluminum6061 and stainless steel,
MiniCAM have the same high precision like above video 912TCAM,
can quick precision, low price product can't do this.

Generally operators adjust drop time to specific values. :-)
So, very long drop time is not required.

As for bearings. Why do you need 6 bearings and why price is affected by this?
Small bearings are available for cheap in wholesale quantities. And you can't make bearing in CNC as far as I know.
I think that affect price the most is low production numbers.

Problem is that it'll be very tough sell for this price. Very tough.

As for videos. In each steadicam video operator is key thing. And clip selection is another.
Even on $50 steadicam I could be able to make very good clip after selection and editing.

I want to buy one but not for this price. Maybe around $300. It will be very hard to sell it for more than that since you have a lot
of competitors and they are all decent with good price.

Wondlan Pegasus II can sell theirs for about $250.

long drop time is show high accuracy and smoth gimbal,
the point of steadicam is gimbal and high precision, that's the cost,
look MiniCAM,the gimbal is very small, the frame made by CNC not bearings,
many bearing design is make sure the high accuracy ,high precision and make gimbal smoth performance.

and why steadicam merlin cost $800?

$50 steadicam I could be able to make very good clip, but not to use and control, that's the point.
