So I had a peculiar card failure on a corporate job yesterday. I shot about 30 continuous minutes of a presentation to a Sandisk 32gb Ultra card and it crapped out. I switched cards and prepared myself mentally for the fact that I lost 30 minutes of a 5 hour seminar and would have to figure something out for the client. That is until I got home and popped the card into my card reader and found all the footage right up until it crapped out.
Offloaded the footage, popped the card back in the camera got the "Check Card" issue when I tried to reformat. Took the card out used the SDHC formatting app for mac and did a full format (not the quick one) and popped the card back in. No dice. The card works fine in my card reader, is readable on a mac, and the footage was not lost or tainted in any way shape or form.
So how come it won't talk to my cam??? Anybody have this issue? My back up is a 7D so i can't even test it on another cam.
