Peaking "User1" Button

EVF DTL (Peaking with “user1″ Button, the red outlines) doesn’t work sometimes even if its turned on. It normally happens when closing the display and reopen it again. You have to turn EVF on and of and sometimes to push the User1 Button on and off to reactivate it.
Nice Bug, especially when working on documentaries. When peaking works again the situation is already over.

Ok just to clarify the following

1/ EVF DTL is peaking
2/ User 1 @ default is focus in red function.

Opening and closing the screen on the AF100 SHOULD NOT stop the EVF detail or focus in red function from working.

Turning the camera off and then on will mean you will have to re engage the focus in red function, however the EVF DTL function will remain at the last setting it was before switching the camera off.

If this is different to your camera there may be a fault.

Ah, I just remembered that I ran into this issue several times last week while shooting Charleston Fashion Week. Basically, peaking would become ineffective because EVF DTL would turn off between clips. I'd notice that peaking would practically disappear, so I'd double-tap EVF DTL (to turn it off, which it basically was, and then back on) to get it all to work again. Not a huge deal, but clearly a nuisance.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It'd say it was on, but not be on so you'd just have to tap the button twice. Oh well.

This happened to me this weekend too, thought it was me, the shoot was moving to fast to try & figure out why evf detail kept going off. This is a real candidate for a firmware fix - if I turn it on, please just leave it on until I turn it off.

Confirmed - turn on EVF detail, close LCD, open LCD, EVF detail appears to be switched off, so you press the EVF detail button and it says "EVL detail off", so yes you have to hit the button twice after closing the LCD to switch it back on.

I am confirming too. That's very strange. I did find one more bug. Sometimes when I'm exiting the scene menu a blinking warning COM appears on the LCD. To stop the warning to blink I have to press Exec for at least 4 or five seconds. The phenomena started after I upgraded the firmware. I didn't notice it before.
