PCD2 required...

As per a previous post the firewire port on my HVX is 'non-functioning'

I've checked UK prices and have seen that the cheapest price for the single slot P2 reader the PCD2 is £280/$430 inc Tax :furious3:

It just so happens I'll be in the US for about 5 weeks starting end of September. I'm on holiday and will be pretty much travelling all over but definitely Seattle, Portland, Frisco and Phoenix.

I've noticed a RRP of $350 plus tax. Where would the best place to buy the reader in the US i.e. good walk in availability and no sales Tax (Portland?)
Any advice greatly appreciated.

i have one. but i dont know many places that are going to have stocks of them in-store for walk-ins...

i would assume there would be at least one dealer in seattle or "frisco" that would have some...
 
Thanks for the reply WGZN.... what did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

Seems that despite being released months ago demand is still outstripping supply.... great for Panny but not so good for everyone else!

Ditto. $350 from Spec-Comm. Great company and a great little product. Their website says they are back in stock.
