So I've got some footage, exported in a quicktime format from a mac, and I've heard it's impossible for me to open in AE on a PC. But I need to. Any thoughts?
PC + Quicktime = ARG.

Not impossible, just not easy. Apple doesn't allow DVCPRO-HD Quicktime files on the PC.
So, you'll have to convert the files. I believe Raylight can import Apple DVCPRO-HD Quicktimes and export Windows-compatible .AVI files. No loss, no recompression, no transcoding.

thanks a ton barry. my next question is, can i reecncode it to quicktime DVCPRO-HD from pc, or would i have to bring it to my mac?
