Pause or Stop?

Re: Pause or Stop?

You're talking about external dv device control? That's the only place in the menus I can think of, offhand, that has pause/stop. And the answer is, it only affects if you're using an external device like a deck hooked up to the firewire. For the most part you'd probably want to use pause, which will pause recording but keep the deck ready to start re-recording right away. If you use stop, it'll shut down the heads on the receiving deck, which means that when you go to record again, it'll take a little time for the heads to come up to speed. But if your external deck doesn't support record/pause, then you have to use stop.

Re: Pause or Stop?

that was it. Much thanks. I figured the pause would keep the heads qued up to a proper location.

THANKS!
