Saw it last night and loved it. I kept waiting for some kind of disappointment, maybe it was all a dream, or some kind of mental prison? But no, they laid out the scenario and stayed true to the stories rules, right until the very end. The casting was spot on, as was the pacing. Information kept coming at you, slowly building up a detailed world of the ship, the culture, and the technology that allowed them to send colonists to a distant world. Ending was nice, not a heavy downer, but again, true to the scenario and it's rules.

Two thumbs way up!

In intresiing film especially when you realise that it was effectively 1, 2, 3 then 4 actors for 2 hours. (We were arguing if it was 3&1/2 or 4 actors). I don't think I have ever seen a long film with so few actors in it.

Several people claim there were serious flaws in it however none that I could see that were beyond the reality of the film. OK so a couple of bits were contrived and a couple of minor bits simply against the laws of physics but they were more window dressing than material.

It was a fascinating moral and ethical journey. After the film we were talking about the "what if's" and the "what you'd you do" scenarios. We are still discussing it several days later. If you liked a film that makes you think rather than action and car chases this is a good film. Being set where it was lets the film discuss the dilemmas in a bubble without having to worry about everyday life and the rest of the world impinging on it.
