I guess it's just part of learning... But I accidentally shot some video in 24p widescreen... What should I look for in Premeire Pro to bring it back to a more standard look....??? I'm talking frame size here....!!!
I hope this makes some sense to someone.

Thanks...

Does your footage looked "squeezed" ? If so, are you wanting to "unsqueeze" it for output to 4x3?
Do you want a matted widescreen (by way of black bars on the top and bottom of 4x3)
or do you want a fullscreen image derived from your squeeze mode widescreen?

Help us help you.

Hollywood does it all the time, so you can claim to have done it on purpose and no one will be the wiser. :-)

Just say it's pan-and-scan, then use your NLE to crop to 4:3 I'm assuming Premiere has a crop feature. It probably even has a 4:3 preset in there.

Shooting wide and then cropping to 4:3 is often a good idea, just for that reason. You can make a normal version and a widescreen version from the same footage. (Likewise shooting 16:9 and then further cropping to 2.35:1 or other aspect ratios.)

So, all is not lost. Hopefully, someone with Premiere will pop in and tell you exactly how to do it in the program. (I'm a Vegas guy)
