Part 2 : The night test - Happy New Year Voigtländer ! - (25mm 0.95, 35mm 1.4 & 50mm

This is the 2nd test part (daylight test here : http://vimeo.com/18339851), a quick night test I've just done this new year eve.

I have the great opportunity to have from TECHNI CINE PHOT (thanks to Marc Rabuteau) a loan of those 3 exceptional Voigtländer lenses, the Nokton 25mm 0.95, the Nokton Classic 35mm 1.4 and the Nokton 50mm 1.1 with the GH2 !
I love so much those lens, they are amazing, very smooth focus rings for the 35mm, macro and very fast for the 25mm, and the 50mm is very sharp.

Voigtländer 50mm 1.1

Always full opened
Shots are from 640 to 3200 asa.

Stuff like this makes it hard to measure reality. ~HONESTLY~ When people say "If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is." That's fine with me....but have you taken a look around? This is a 1000usd body...with a 1000usd (? price ?) lens....

This guy is shooting F0.95 at ISO3200....and it looks to be usable for many folks. Can you imagine what people would have said 3 years ago if you told them this? Does this sound "Too good to be true?" DAMN!! These are exciting times! Thanks so much for posting. Thanks so much for shooting this....I thought there were some INCREDIBLE shots in there....(and I know this was just to demo the lens and different Fstops/ISOs...but still)

MIND-BLOWING = Where will we be 3 years from now?

Thanks HHL, exactly this is very exciting for me working with this ! I remember one year and half ago, I didi not have the GH1, now the GH2, it was so hard filming with a camcorder with no light...
 
Excellent, just as enjoyable as Part 1. Out of curiosity have you had a chance to shoot with the Voigtländer Nokton 35 f1.2?

No sweat...honestly thank you. That was some exciting footage. One other thought (non-cinema related). After watching the New Year's footy....it made me feel like a "fat, lazy, no style, stick-in-the-mud, American". :) Your wife/girl friend/baby-momma is so stylish and cool...very "sheik". Your friends have that not-trying-too-hard "cool look." I'm not saying that there aren't Americans like that....it's just that all my American friends need to lay off the fast food and do something besides work. I'm not mocking here...honestly....I guess I'm making a confession really. Here it is: I need to join JENNY CRAIG and GET A LIFE!!!! :) Cheers Seb!

I have the voigtlander and this is the kind of video that I totally bought it for. I will post some bomfire footage.. This is great and the lens is awesome.

Well I don't know, I will try to loan one too. By the way I'm going to have a C-mount Canon 35mm 1.2, it's on modification now.
