SHORT: Parameters 2 minute short- nerd flogs " alt " chick over an arcade game....

Cool, loved the aesthetic. Would get tiring in a longer piece but very effective in this short and sweet one. Weird in a good way. Music was great, although most the dialogue after "I don't feel the same way" was hard to hear as it climaxed. Had to play it back several times to work out what was said. Perhaps if you added some compression to the dialogue to compete with the music? Other than that, "I love the noise".
 
crap, I knew it- yeah the mix at the end is off, he gets drowned out a bit, thanks for confirming that.

Sucks cause I want to fix it and upload a new version but then the link (which I already gave to collaborators) changes

Yeah, problem with mixing on the threshold is once you know what the words are you hear them clearly every time thereafter. When I play it back now I hear it clear as day. Some compression might do it. Alternatively you could put in a narrow band notch filter somewhere in the mids on the music and a boost in the same frequency on the dialogue. Have the best of both worlds. You will need to search around for the best frequency for the voice, try starting from around 2,500Hz and sweep around to find where the presence is best enhanced. It's a trick I've used often recording bands to give a particular track greater presence and a cleaner sound. The audio is otherwise very slick.
 
thanks for the tips, I have a background producing electronic music so Im lucky enough to be able to fumble my way to a decent mix.
