Parabellum tells the story of a Triad assasin on a hit that has gone horribly awry and his tumultuous relationship with the family's daughter that puts both their lives in jeopardy.

Budget: 600 bucks (mostly for the processing of 16mm inserts I did for fun)

I hope Trent Reznor doesn't mind you using his song

besides that I enjoyed the film, the ending was the most heart felt and probably the only time I felt the connection between the lovebirds

wow... dude, good stuff.. some of the acting is stiff, but that happens on major budgets as well.. very good stuff... choreography was well done and i liked it...
4/5!!!

love the opening sequence angles / editing but as soon as it hit the monologue at the dining table i was completely taken out by the shakey camera and quick cuts. i couldn't seem to get a handle on any of the characters which that scene seemed like it was there for.

The handheld work at the restaurant threw me off as well. Nothing whole original here, short films with this plot/theme are a dime a dozen. The style (other than the handheld work) was really nice, which I think helps this film rise above the dozens of others like it. Would love to see what you guys could do with a more original concept.
