My copy of the gauntlet is like the first two clips. I thought they cut a 4:3 picture to fit 16:9 and it was bad. I could not view it without this popping into my mind in every other shot. On the first shot you I think you should have cut his head but not his mouth. Were you trying to show concentration? On the second one I think you should have angled it to the right. The other two shots were great. However I can't download the video, sorry.
Looking nice for 30 minutes with no pre-production!
I would definitely slide your image up vertically so that you are chopping off the top of your head instead of your mouth - your hair doesn't communicate emotion the way your mouth does...
Also I would add somesort of ambient noise to the beginning so that it isn't a long dead silence. Perhaps a door opening and closing and the sound of walking. You could do the same at the end through the credits...
One other small thing to pay attention to is your horizontal lines. Your shots from directly behind are falling slightly downhill giving your composition a unbalanced feel - I noticed it immediately. I've made the mistake before of assuming because I had the tripod or camera on a level surface that everything was good to go. But it is important to check the lines on your monitor because in the end that's all your audience sees.
