Papa Roach vs. Keane???

hmm...i'm not a fan of Papa Roach, but Keane is pretty good IMO. but i heard Papa Roach's new song "Lifeline" on the radio today and strangely, kind of liked it.....and though the band is said to be going through a metamorphosis and reinventing themselves and their sound by naming their new record "Metamorphosis" :zombie_smiley:, i find it odd that the opening riff of their new single is strikingly similar to that of the opening of "Everybody's Changing" by Keane...download both tracks to hear what i'm saying....

I once got papa roach kicked out of a hotel in Indianapolis.
They were staying there over night while on their first real tour and I was staying there overnight interviewing for a editor's job. Relaxing that evening, I was chillin by the pool, although it had been closed for hours, then got a little chilly so I hopped in the sauna. Now, back in my day, there was always a pail of water and a scoop for water to get the steam goin. I saw no such thing and figured it was just cuz they were closed. Without thinking, I soaked a towel in the pool then wrung that bad boy over the sauna's stove.
When it started sparking, smoking and made a wing of the hotel dark, it dawned on me this was an electric heater. I beailed, making it as far as the pool front doors, as them members of papa raoch were kind of dazing their way to the pool area. As I split, security asked me a point blank question... "IS ANYONE IN THERE!?" Now I kind of knew where they were goin with it but I answered what was asked with "yeah 4 long haired dudes." and hitaled it to the bar... half the place still dark as genrators and emergency beepers echo in the halls.
I sipped a brew as security and papa roach exchanged words and within a half hour, their bus was packed and they were on the road early.

sorry, guys. I was just answering what was asked.
lol

Have had Keane "Hopes and Fears" CD on practically nonstop since I got it 3 wks ago. "We Might As Well be Strangers" belongs in a movie somewhere. If you like Coldplay definitely check out Keane.
