Panny = Panavision

Panavision/Panasonic/Panny - meh. What's going to be more confusing is people who refer to "the HPX". There's now about six different "HPX" cameras. So, yes:
Actually what I've seen to be pretty common is to just use the model number for short. I refer to my HVX200 as a "200". Arriflex 535 is the "535" and so on.
This is the kind of thing we need to do. Calling something "the HPX" is just going to cause more confusion. It's like if we were calling the EX1 "the PMW".

Airline pilots refer to Boeing aircraft by the last two digits of the model number.
As in I just flew in on 57 aircraft. Which means they flew a Boeing 757. Maybe we should do the same on cameras except use the first 2 digits like I just got off a shoot with the two-zero A. Oh and use your steely eyed squint when you say it like the grizzled veteran you are.

Actually I usually say just a 500 or 200 or varicam or 900 and most everyone knows what you mean.

How about "PANASO" pa NAH so. Has a nice italian/european sound to it.
"My Panaso has a strange beeping sound"
Although that may sound a bit personal.

Now I must attend to the other 999, 999 things I am worried about.
