Has anyone used the Panasonic ANAMORPHIC Adapter on the AF as of yet?
If so I would love to hear some feed back.
I am looking to purchase 1 in the very near future.
Also I would like to know of any draw back to using such a config.

Thanks!

Well, and again this is just my opinion... I don't need an anamorphic image for what I do, which is television.
I can frame appropriately and crop accordingly, and get a very convincing wide screen effect if needed.
The lens you mentioned can have focus issues, and is a little too soft for my tastes when used to resolve an HD image.
If you were concerned with needing something wide on the M4/3 format, then both the Lumix 7-14mm and Tokina 11-16mm lenses would be great wide angle lenses. If you were truly after an anamorphic picture, then I would spend my hard earned cash elsewhere.

All the Best!

I had one for some time. I used it with zuiko OM and Leica R wide angles, 24, 28, 35mm. Soft wide open, sharper two stops down. No close focus, very easy to use. Nice flares, difficult to flare. Rather useless with 50 and 85-90mm lenses. No go with my 14-35mm. I was OK with the adapter but I sold it to fund my short. Shot it finally with the 14-35 I mentioned and did crop to 2.35. I missed the flares A LOT, focus puller was happy and had some money for shooting my film.

The main purpose of these 1.33x focus through anamorphics like the Panasonic, the Century Optics, the Optex, the Soligor etc. is to shoot establishing shots or landscape with wide angle lenses, stopped down to f=5.6 or higher with deep dof.
Generally speaking they are user friendly because you only need to focus one lens but it is difficult to shoot shallow dof, telephoto, or low light because they rapidly become blurry.
By using high quality diopters you can overcome most of the above issues and give these lenses a new life.
Check for instance my experiments with the Soligor lens:

I find the results to be impressive.
However, keep in mind that it is much more difficult to find diopters of the appropriate form for the Panasonic anamorphic adapter.
