panning in 25pn looks strobing

I been testing to pan and i think 720 25pn looks strobing. I been trying with different recording settings and i wonder if its a difference between 720 25p and 720 25pn cause to me it looks like 720 25p is a bit smother (still not smooth enough).

If i record in higher frame rate like 50p its looks more smooth but everybody loves their 24p or 25p so I guess its a setting issue. So what settings do you recommend for panning.

how fast are you panning - there is a limit to the speed at which you can pan at every frame and shutter rate.

Also what shutter speed are you set at - auto?

Hi.

If your camera is at full wide, your pan speed must take more than 30 sec in 180 degress.

At full tele, your pan speed must take more than 240 sec in 180 degress.

But if you follow a moving person, you can pan faster.

Buy Barrys HVX 200 book, it is very informative.

Yep I ordered the book now but it said 27 july was the ship date so it takes a while to get it. I tried different shutterspeed and higher shutter take away abit of the motionblur. I also tried 200d shutter angle but didn't noticed all that difference. Oboy! i really want that book now!

When I ordered the DVX book it took like 3/4 days, the HVX book took 11 days...... Go figure!!!

BTW 3 days after the book was delivered the US Postal tracking website still shows it as "En Route" ????? :/

Indy.....
