Panning Footage Hurts My Eyes

I searched (well not diligently - about as diligently as one can at 1:47 AM) the HMC book and the stickies of the forums for anything like what I'm experiencing.

I upgraded from a HD handy cam for doing commercials for videos for fun and moneys and I was immediately pleased with the quality improvement. I haven't found the low-light issue to be a problem at all. Overall, I like the HMC40 a lot.

However, I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my settings that's making myself and my special effects partner nauseous.

The closest thing I could find was a random forum post on a random forum discussing how 3MOS versus 3CCD motion footage hurts the human eye. I dunno how true that is...hopefully not absolute. Being incapable of panning or zooming quickly might be a deal breaker for the HMC40 for the melting pot of projects we take on.

If this is some minor, noob issue, that everyone encounters I'll gladly delete the post if someone could point me in the right direction. Sorry this had to be my first post :p

Many thanks in advance.
