Pandora vs Last.fm?

So, I signed up with pandora.com a few days ago (yeah, I know, I'm late to the party), mostly to discover new music. My primary interest is in electronica (but no house or trance!), jazz and experimental music. I like pandora OK, but find their selections very limited and missing many artists, plus I already know about 80% of the music they come up with.

I have not tried last.fm. How do these two stack up against each other? From the point of view of selection, utility for discovering new music, usability etc.?

Man, I wish discogs was listenable like that, that would keep me busy for a looong time :)
 
last FM is awesome and availbe in many countries. pandora used to be great until they shut down outside the U.S.A.

So basically from my POV...pandora sucks eggs and last FM is the cat's pajamas.
 
Thanks, rook. To be fair, pandora didn't have a choice. Blame our broken copyright laws.

That said, I'm in the U.S. so I'm still interested in a comparison between the two :)
