GH5 Panasonic xlr adapter- anyone using it?

These would be great, if they work, allowing to mount how you wanted, and NOT on the hot shoe mount of the camera body.

While discussing the beta-GH5 I asked about an audio extension cable for the XLR & was told by one of Panasonic’s Engineers that the pin configuration is exactly the same as Canon’s dSLRs’.
