I'm not sure where to ask this but say I'm selling my dvx, and if I do, what do most people do with the warranty when they sell their camera? if something goes wrong can I just give that persons my info so they can use the warranty? or is there a better way of going about that?

Thanks

Having worked for a repair centre of electrical goods I can tell you that warranty is based on the camera's serial number. When you go to an authorised repair centre, they will check your serial number against a database. If they find your cam is out of warranty because it sat on a shelf for 3 months before it was sold you'll have to provide them with proof of purchase.

Your best bet is to call an authorised service centre and ask them what they need to sight as proof of purchase for warranty repairs. If they need to see the buyer's receipt you'll have to give the new owner your receipt or at least a copy of it.
