Changed careers about two years ago, and I am sadly selling my camera gear to cover some "project house" costs. The house is a gut job!
I love the camera, and think its a great, cost effective alternative to smaller cameras. I personally really like to more control over the camera and glass, and really love the color reproduction especially in the blacks.
Items for Sale:
Varicam AJ-HDC27FP Camera (has correct HD viewfinder and a shotgun)
*no lens or batteries included. I'm using an older Fuji 14x with excellent results. Have an IDX 4 battery charger, 2 recell batteries that shoot one tape each, and a Blackmagic Studio 2 card for import. I can work with you on a complete package if desired.
AJ-HD130 Record and Playback Deck
Hard flight case for camera, batteries, charger
45 Tapes (used once, professionally erased)
Tripod mount, and a few extras (BNC cable, lens cap for camera body, choice of Anton or IDX battery black, etc.)
Camera Hours are
Operation 253x10hr
Drum Running 105x10hr
Threading 1032x10
Deck Hours are
Operation 4092h
Drum Run 2151h
Tape Run 790h
Threading 6433t
Condition/Service
All equipment works excellent. Includes service records from the last 2 years - no issues, and excellent head condition. There is one dead pixel that appears at 12db of gain and above. Haven't had an issue on location as a result - no constant black balancing here. I can't seem to find the power cable for the deck's remote control. It can be powered through a TA5 cable to the deck, which I also don't have.
