Panasonic Repair

Hi everyone. I'm not quite sure if this is the correct place to post this (it's been a while) but it has to do with the HVX so I figured I'd put it here. Recently the company I work for has decided to stop outsourcing our repairs. They've decided they want me to take repair technician classes so we can make our repairs in-house. They don't want to hire someone just for this task because we don't need enough repairs made to make it cost effective; so they want me to be able to make repairs while continuing my existing work. We work mostly with HVX's and HPX500's, sometimes sony DV decks. If anyone could help me by pointing me in the right direction for finding classes for this I would much appreciate it. I understand the cameras inside and out in terms of shooting and menus and such but not the internals and such (boards, circuits, etc) . Anyone have any ideas of where I could find these?

Thanks everyone,
Chris Geukens

I'd imagine that you'll have to go to Panasonic for a technician seminar.

Frankly, this seems like another management decision who's cure is worse than the diagnosis...How efficiently will you be able to repair cameras compared to a shop that does it day in and day out? I've sent a DVX-100A to Spec. Com and had great service.
