No, I'm not talking about the DVX. I had no problems shooting my movie with the DVX100B, but I'm using a lesser panasonic model as a dummy cam to upload my DVX footage to computer and it's giving me a major headache.
I do apologize for posting this query in a DVX forum, but I can't find any info anywhere else, and maybe a camera head out there has experienced something similar.
So I'm using a $300 panasonic mini DV PV-GS90P/PC. It's 3 months old, just past the 90 day warranty and I get repeated "press the reset button" error messages. I press the reset button and a couple of seconds later I see the red error message again, and again and again.
I'd rather not break out my DVX100 and log hours on it just uploading footage.
Anyone ever run into this problem? Is there a good, decent dummy cam someone could suggest?
At first I was using a crummy canon, but that was really bad and when I switched to Panasonic dummy cam the problems were way fewer. Until now.
Anyway, thanks for any suggestions/help, I realize it's a hail mary. I might just end up throwing this camera out the window and getting something new.
YEp.
