i am at p2 clinic. jan crittenden is here, giving a breakdown of basic video problems.

- a new panasonic and abel cine tech collaboration is a grant to gain awareness for a specific kind of anemia. its a documentary based contest to be shot on hpx500.

- AVC intra looks amazing..... the hpx3000 is a unbelievable machine......

- Art aldritch the IT designer of the iditarod workflow, is going over the finer points of meta data and p2 contents manager software. meta data is unbelievably powerful once you see it being used. its not sexy like lenses and 32 gig cards but it is something that will save your neck onday when you need to find a clip you shot 3 years ago.

more to come.

i got to meet jan. when i told her i was a mod here she immediatly relaxed and went off "work" mode. it was funny. she was warm and friendly. i learned a buch today, though it reallly was geared for people who were not aquainted with P2 at all. it introduced the work flow and its benefits. though there were a few things that i didnt know and now i feel i have a better grasp on archiving solutions and metadata useage.

essentially you should TOTALLY use the meta data. its great. its like in camera organizing of your clips.
