The Cooley's Anemia Foundation (CAF) is glad that you are interested in the "P2 for a Cause" project. Following is some basic information about thalassemia for you to peruse. We hope that you will decide to submit a treatment for consideration for a "Panasonic P2 for a Cause" filmmaker's grant.
CAF will be happy to assist any filmmakers learn more about thalassemia and will answer any questions you may have about the disorder. Whenever possible, we will try to put you in touch with individuals whose lives are in some way affected by thalassemia - patients, parents, siblings, medical professionals, CAF Board and staff, or others in the thalassemia community. However, please be aware that because the patient population is small and many patients are not comfortable sharing information about their condition, there may be challenges involved.
