Panasonic MQ 63 tapes: dropouts?

Taking a survey... It seems that I average 1-2 dropouts per 63 minute Master Quality Panasonic tapes (the only kind ever to touch my dvx) is this normal? good? particularly bad? What do you all find with these tapes and the dvx?

I've had my camera for more than a year and I've had a total of 1 extremely minor dropout during that time.

Hey coffee, et al,
the dropouts you are seeing; they ARE recorded on tape then, yes? They are not a result of the transfer DVX-to-computer? Because that's where *most* dropouts occur.

During August 2005, I shot 26 hours on MQ's and had only a single dropout. Mileage may vary...

(edit: take that back. one picture error, on tape. lasted for eight frames. another time the audio became "grumbled" for two seconds, but this may have been a capture error.)

It's not the tapes, it's your camera - it's dirty! Get it cleaned professionally, a cleaning tape only will not do.
