Almost without exception, everyone that I know uses the MQ tapes. I only use those tapes.
Best rule of thumb. Whatever brand or formula you use, don't switch. Stay with that brand. If you do decide to change, be sure to clean your heads first. All tapes wear and track differently. The head gets used to that tape. If you use different brands and formulas, it can not only leave deposits on your heads and rollers, but can also wear your heads differently.
