Panasonic Lumix Lens Service

Hi,
Just a heads up .. our 14->140mm died .. and we went round-and-round
with Panasonic service. The consumer service said it was professional and
professional service said it was consumer.
Just so you know, it's the consumer side that takes care of the Lumix
lens series. Don't say "AF100" ... it throws them off.
On a positive note, I think we were probably first Lumix lens they'd had to service in
LA.

the focus ring became non-responsive.. when connected to cam, the AF/MF switch was not available. probably electronics.

I think it was an anomaly (given the way the service center responded). Wasn't something
they had done a whole lot of.
