I sold both of my AF100's and upgraded to better equipment (including the Red One). Sold the cameras to a friend of mine, but I've got the following still up for sale:

$325.00 shipped

(2) Sennheiser ME66 + K6 Powering Module - ALL MINT AS SHOWN IN PICS

I also have 2 Gliders Shoulder Mounts for sale as well ($140 each shipped). Both have been used a handful of times and are in excellent condition.

I will ONLY accept PayPal as a form of payment from verified US addresses. Priority Mail shipping is included in prices. I'm located in Grand Rapids, MI, but for some reason this forum isn't allowing me to update my profile right now.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm smelling a scam. This seller is very similar to a seller from two weeks ago: selling the same exact items described in a similar way with similar pictures, both claim to be from michigan, and the emails are eerily similar. I hope I'm wrong cause I want one of these lenses, but I just don't feel comfortable sending the cash without some way to contact this person directly (the email doesn't seem to work, and the seller is no longer accepting pm's). Be careful. Would love to get a phone number...

I think you're right. Two similar ads with two completely different PayPal and e-mail addresses? This is a scam. The paypal accounts he's using are probably compromised accounts. Once he gets the funds he needs, then he'll probably use a cash-out service via some lame hacking community; or if he's good, himself. I played it safe with this one just to test him by sending a manual PayPal payment with my credit-card funds rather than the service payment he requested. If he or Paypal don't own up to this, then I'll simply issue a charge-back. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he sends you an invoice for a service payment, like he sent me, then you (the customer) are only guaranteed at providing a service. In other words, you're not protected by the service payment as you would an actual payment for goods. Again, if this is all wrong, I'll edit my post and delete everything I've said. However, my gut tells me otherwise.

No replies from seller to any emails in 48 hrs.

Since the price of this lens NEW has dropped to $549 on Amazon, B&H, Adorama, I've seen it for around $350- $450 used. So the price didn't set off alarm bells. But had a sinking feeling, after Paypal payment, that if there are 3 identical items on sale, there should be a picture of all three items in one photo. ( even though pictures don't guarantee anything, even on ebay)

I've been buying stuff from ebay since 1995 with no problems, so I wasn't aware Paypal insurance doesn't cover the "service" category. So, if you pay a "service" invoice even though it says "Lumix lens" at the top, you can't file a claim or chargeback?

That is true and I was burned for a light kit the same way......
I know I'm not a Mod or anything but a lot of forums that I am a member of put a post limit on being able to sell items in the MarketPlace and it seems to work.

Yes. I've seen on a few other forums, a post quota before being allowed to post classifieds.

The "Service" loophole for scammers should be fixed too. Easy to overlook for even old Paypal users

Did you make a service payment? If so maybe you can reach out to paypal and explain what is going on.

Edit.... Maybe the Mods can make a sticky on service payments for goods.

Yes, unfortunately. I'm still checking to see what can be done despite this. Although the Paypal auto help is sometimes like a maze leading to nowhere. Normally, is is worth opening a dispute when the seller doesn't respong to emails, or do you have to wait 2/3 weeks to dispute or attempt a chargeback? Thanks!

Found this off of PayPal's site. I initiated my dispute yesterday, and PayPal said they'll refund the full amount paid if the seller does not respond by next Friday. I'm not worried about my case, but I hope others weren't tricked by the service invoice. Stealing $300-400 from anyone is worthy of a serious ass beating.
