GH4 Panasonic Image App questions - GH4

Hey fellas -

Has Anyone figured out how to get full screen preview? I'd love to use my tablet as an external monitor.
 
I don't think you can, but I used the iPad retina yesterday as it worked great. Unfortunately like me, its time to think about an external monitor ;-)
 
Ok, thanks for your input, man. I thought it was a hidden option somewhere and was just me. I left some feedback on their FB page so maybe they'll have it in future versions. They've been updating that App fairly frequently so here's hoping.
 
I love the app, but would like to see a bit better resolution and full screen as well, but it may not be technically possible to do higher res, and at the current res, I'm not sure it would do any good to blow it up to full screen for me personally. I guess framing would be a little easier. As I write that, I realize I'm working on an iPad, so even 1/4 of the screen is decent size. If it's only a little window on a phone as well, that would be very small, and I could definitely see why you'd want full screen there.
 
I'm running the app on a Galaxy Nexus 7 and the preview screen is slightly larger than the Panasonic LCD. So, it's still useful in its current form. If I could go full screen, it'd make it easier to frame when you're running it on a gimbal, even at slightly reduced resolution. Note that the GoPro App lets you do full resolution, even though it's pixelated as hell, but still good enough. I'm sure Panasonic could do the same. Or I'm hoping.
 
Could they make it any more difficult to use? I wish it could remember the MAC address of my phone so that I could quickly connect to it (like I do my GoPro).

Not sure what you're seeing, man. When I connect to my Nexus 7:

1. Hold the WiFi button on the GH4
2. Start the Panasonic Image App on my Nexus
3. The app starts searching. Sometimes, it finds it right away. When it doesn't, I click the Wi-Fi button, select the GH4 from the list and hit OK and it connects.

Pretty simple.

On your nexus 7, is there a slight delay in the video? I notice a slight delay on my Galaxy phone, but I was thinking that being an old model might be the cause.

Yes, there is a slight delay but it's not bad at all, compared to my GoPro app delay.
 
The GoPro's lag is incredible to the point it's really hard to use. The Panasonic is by far better.
