PANASONIC HVX200A vs. CANON 5D

I was just wondering? LOL. I own the HVX200a but a lot of people are saying the CANNON 5D is going to out beat the HVX200a. I don't this is a random thread. LOL. I was just wondering which records better video.

Both record better video...

And that is totally dependent on what you are pointing the camera at.

HVX records 1080p, 720p, and standard-def video at 24, 30, and 60 frames per second, as well as variable frame rates between 2 and 60 frames per second, and records four channels of audio, all in an intraframe professional recording format (DVCPRO-HD).

Canon 5D records 1080p at 30.000 fps, into MPEG-4.

The Canon has lower noise and extremely shallow depth of field, but it also has severe chroma aliasing and moire issues. It doesn't do 24p (although sometime in the next five months it's supposed to receive an update that allows it). It has rolling shutter issues, wobble, skew, flash banding, partial exposure.

That said, if you're shooting an interview or something like that, I think most people would prefer the look of the 5D's shot versus the HVX's shot.
