Panasonic HVX200 16:9 setting without letterbox

Happy new year to all

I have set my format in the menu for 16:9 though I would like to know how can I format without using the letterbox

it sounds like you've set the DISPLAY SETUP for 16:9, but you need to go into CAMERA SETUP and change your ASPECT CONV to SQUEEZE. This will ensure a 16:9 image in the SD formats. When shooting in any of the HD formats, you will automatically be recording a 16:9 image.
