Panasonic HDC27 Varicam & Blackmagic Hyperdeck Shuttle

I have a possible gig coming up where I might be using the good ol' Varicam HDC27 and I was thinking of using my hyperdeck shuttle with it, but the question is, would the hyperdeck be able to pick up a 24p signal from the Varicam's HD-SDI signal? If i remember correctly, the varicam is 24p via a 2:3 pulldown..

Bump. I'm surprised nobody on here would have an answer for this considering how long this form has been around and I know there was lots of talk of the varicam here in its hayday

The Panasonic P2 format and Varicam are facing declining use and users in Winter 2015. Not sure if Panasonic will support P2 format in the next decade. Remember M II tape format back in the late 80s? P2 will be M2 someday. 720-1080p workflow is still viable these days. Many other similar sites I received zero response. It's a dying format for the production community. But it's still widely used in broadcasting.

The 27H is a tape VariCam. The 2700 is P2.

I have both and if memory serves, the 27 is outputting 24 over 60(so pulldown) on the SDI's, because the tape is always running at 60 frames regardless of selected frame rate.

Now the 2700 is capable of actually recording 24 frames internally, but I think it still outputs 24 over 60 on the SDI's, but I'd have to dig out the manual, because the variations of what it records internally and outputs(video and timecode wise) is crazy(and they aren't necessarily the same or make complete sense at first glance).
