Panasonic HC-WXF1 4K UHD Camcorder looks interesting for under $1000

Any one looking at this or your thoughts. I am looking for a 4k video camera for under $1000. So far it is between Panasonic and Sony FDRAX53/B 4K, which is a few years old.
also trying to find the main differences between the Panasonic HC-WXF1 4K UHD Camcorder VS Panasonic PANASONIC HC-VX1 4K Camcorder.
I want a 4k video to film interviews and shoot and run type of situations. Thanks for any comments.
 
I have a similar model. These are nice little cameras but they aren't real production tools. Image quality is acceptable if you have a lot of light available. They get noisy quick in low light. Biggest drawback is the manual operation is absolutely craptastic. Often times you can realistically only do one manual setting at a time. You'll lose your mind shooting with it. It's a great behind the scenes camera or a B cam in a pinch, but these cameras are not production worthy at all.

Yup, that Panasonic is nice. Don't settle for anything less than a 1" sensor!!

Sony RX10mk2 would be nice too.

I have this camera the HC-WXF1 right now - just got it. I'm putting it through its paces. I had the last model of this camera and returned it a couple years ago because the image stabilization was terrible and the low light capabilities were nonexistent.

I can happily say that they have made great strides with this camera. 1) new Leica lens that is a wider 25mm and much sharper. 2) Stabilizer is great now. 3) Low light is improved at least 75 percent. Before the camera's image would fall apart shooting anything indoors, now it has very good low with really impressive noise reduction, but the darker it is the more color information you do lose. Outdoors the camera is stellar with snappy autofocus.

I have a GH5 and I was looking for a fast action B camera. I'm not sure this is it yet - although it does have a good deal of manual control. I am spoiled with the look of the GH5, but thinking I might keep this for those moments where I only have one shot at it.

I know there are many other cameras out there but I don't want something as large as the UX90 and would like to stay with Panasonic, and for the money and form factor this is great, but I don't know yet whether I will use it when I'm spoiled with the image off the GH5. Hope this helps.
