Panasonic Has Issues

Wedding went good. I made it happen and that is what I planned on doing! First time using the P2 workflow besides tinkering around and I was impressed.

Wgzn... I was definitely joking about leaving this forum. This is the best video forum I have found to date and I like to kid sometimes. I don't mind the harsh comments at all. I was just b*tching at the time and I wanted to see the replies. I really think the 200 is an amazing camera (even though the low light issue sucks sometimes). I will use this camera to help me save up for a hpx500 or a hpx170.

So at the wedding I filmed with the hvx200 P2 cards and I had another cameraman there using a high end consumer canon that records AVCHD (vixia hf200). I am using Premier Pro CS3 right now and I downloaded the CS3 P2 update but I know CS3 doesn't have AVCHD support. I plan on getting a new computer in a few months (64 bit) so I can update to CS5 and have a better NLE system. What can I do to edit these 2 different types of files within the same program? I would like to not spend money but if I have no other choice then I'll do what it takes. I know I should start a new thread but I wanted to let you know how the event went and I figured I'd throw it out there. Thanks for everything and please be harsh! White lies will get me nowhere.

Cater2theGame - see link to trailer in my signature.

Some shots on HVX200, HPX500 and some RED.

Tell me which is which? Im only half kidding, but on the web you really cant see it that clearly. And SD DVD is a similar scenario.

I found this:

I want to keep the avchd from the Canon in top quality. Which option is my best to combine the canon avchd (mts) files to panasonic P2 (mxf) files and keep that high hd quality for editing? I want to edit the footage on pp cs3 and, like I said, I would like to go the cheapest route since I am upgrading to cs5 with a new pc in a few months. Thanks. I will repost this in the proper place as well.
