Loving this camera so far. Please dear god bmd better not release a new camera this year lol.

 
I'd be happy if BM released something this year to compete with the GH5 haha. That said I'm happy with it and will be using it for quite some time.
 
I think BM's next one is most likely 8K or something higher than 4K...but the community is also begging for a 4K pocket (would love that).
 
You know this whole time since i first got my bmcc in 2013 all i have wanted is 60 fps in the bmcc. I dont care about 4k. Arri alexa was 2.5k for the longest time and its my favorite camera eventhough i would never be able to afford one.

Alexa is 2.8k when shooting 16x9. The sensor is 3.2k when shooting open gate. A bit larger than 1920x1080. The thing with 2k delivery with a bayer sensor is it really needs those extra pixels to resolve a solid 2k master. Would love to see at least 2.8k on a future pocket camera and an elimination of the horrible moire the pocket is capable of. It is the moire and aliasing artifacts that really kill the Pocket.
 
You would probably be a quarter of the way there if you added up the cost of the BMCC, Pocket, BMMCC, URSA Mini 4K, GH5, and GH5S you've bought (or appeared to) over the years, haha. And yea...part of Alexa's image is it's sampled from a higher resolution sensor. If it had a 1080p sensor, it would look like the pocket, ha.
