Panasonic DVX-100A video camera package for sale - $4420
(I prefer to deal with someone in-person here in the Bay Area)
I bought my camera and other gear this past May, mostly from B&H Photo / Video. I have all the receipts, accesories, and documents for all the gear. I shot a political documentary this summer and fall in Iowa with the gear. I now have 75 hours of footage to post and would love to keep it all but my bank account says “no”.
I am selling the gear as a camera package that will probably be the best for someone just starting out. The only thing you might want to supplement the package with would be an on-camera mic of some sort. Everything was extra well cared for and shows no signs of wear and tear (except the camera bag that has a few scratches where you would expect them).
I used the Panasonic DV-103 cam for all rewinding, playing, and dubbing of tapes in order to save the tape transport and heads of the DVX-100A from wear and tear (people also use these sort of DV cams as cheap decks for digitizing). I was also careful to only use Panasonic Master quality DV tapes with both cameras as there is some concern that lesser quality tapes use a wet-lube type system and can produce more dropouts.
The DVX-100A has shot 75-80 hours of footage. I am selling the entire package at a straight 20% discount. For example, this makes the DVX-100A part of the package around $2800 (but it is not being sold seperately).
I also have a couple of Bogen light stands that I purchased at the same time but never used... they don’t really go with any of the gear as part of a package so I’ll throw them in for free (a $90 dollar value !!!) and you will have a start on building your light kit.
Here’s the package ... all accesories are included of course...
