Panasonic Component video cable

I'm using the cable that came with the camera and wondering how much difference a different cable would be. Is it a quality cable?

i have attached that cable to a 75 foot extension and the image quality has degraded quite a bit - got me worried at first - but i think it was just the length.

I am not sure what other options you have other then that cable - isnt that a custom connection?

No, it's a D4 connection, and is compatible with the XLH1 and also with the early JVC HD1/HD10 (but not the HD100).

But apparently it's still not all that common. Overlandfilms and I were at Tweeter last week, salivating over the 73" 1080p screens and really wanting to hook up the HVX, but they'd never seen the jack before. (We didn't have the cable.) We shall return.
