After all I went through(http://www.dvxuser.com/cgi-bin/DVX2/YaBB.pl?board=Events;action=display;num=1087079962), Panasonic has sent me a new replacement DVX100a and I got it today.
Now that this is all over and looking back, Panasonic was really great about the warranty and the service center was just going by the book. Once Allen Carmichael had a chance to see the camera, he decided it was best to replace the cmaera. I still do not know what happened to the camera, but I will post something if I do find out. The camera has been sent back to the factory to see if they can find a reason to what happened.
On a side note....I did see "Wild Boys" on MTV the other day and noticed they were shooting places like like rain forests and deserts which are pretty extreme places so maybe my camera problem was just a fluke. I'll still limit the new camera's use in high humidity areas, though.
I am happy now that I can get back to shooting! ;D
