Panasonic Brand SD cards

So now it's official. Both of the more expensive 6 series 16 gig Panasonic SD cards have gone bad.. The 2nd is inexplicable as it wasn't put through anything serious. The first went bad cause I Thought it got handled too much... but now I'm thinking they just made some faulty cards. The funny thing is that the Trasnscend cards which were 1/3 of the price have worked flawlessly for even longer than the Panny cards. I'm going to contact them and see what I can do to get my money back and I'm not sure if I want a replacement. I'm hoping to not loose anything off the 2nd card and I think I'm fine.. but with the lack of confidence in them.. I'm not going to use them again.

Anyone else have issues with them or other brands? The Transcend media have been champs without the slightest glitch.. and if they did have a glitch, the cost and loss isn't as bad as it is with these panasonic batteries.

My Panasonic cards seem all good for now. No problem here. What are the issues that you have?

Transcend cards may be good, but they have also bad cards.

It took me 2-3 months to get mine. And when I did (a 16 GB Class 10) it was unreliable - worked some times, not others. Totally unacceptable. I checked to make sure I had the latest firmware - there had been several comments on this board about that being necessary for Class 10 performance - and I did. After repeated testing, I contacted Panasonic and (after documenting my testing indicating the problem was the card and not the operator or the firmware) they accepted and return/replacement. I just got my replacement today (it took 2-3 weeks) and was mildly surprised to find that it was a Class 6. Under other circumstances I might be inclined to complain, but given my problems with the Class 10, and the posting above comparing Class 10 performance with Class 6, I'm inclined to keep it - if (and only if) it performs well. If it does, I won't post again; if it doesn't, you hear from me.

They aren't mounting all the time and I get error messages when I import directly from the card. I have to copy to a drive and then sometimes that locks up. Just very very unreliable and my first card just outright died. So much for spending the extra money for a reliable brand from the camera manufacturer.

I just hope my Panasonic cards will be fine.

I have 4 x 16 GB class 6, 2 x 16 GB class 10 and 1 x 32 GB class 10.

I have 2 pannys, bunch of transcends, 3 patriots and a delkin all class 6... Only had probs with a transcend from china in my old T1i... not one issue with the HMC and any of the chips ::knocks on wood::
