I'd say it was real then haha. It looked a lot like the footage I saw from the camera - colorwise. I think someone screwed the pooch.

I'm french and it is about the EVA1. Videoplus is one of the main professional video shops in Paris, selling and renting to big cine productions and TV, they would not post a EVA1 video if it was not effectively shot on the EVA1.

Hopefully Panasonic will pull Video Plus' franchise for making the new camera look so unflattering. If they are supposedly a professional shop, why would they post such bad looking footage so early when Panasonic Europe probably didn't want them to? Somehow they made a professional cinema camera look like Go Pro footage.

That is peculiar footage. :45 - 1:00 has an odd left/right frame jitter. I would ignore this example and wait for something legit. Yes, it looks like an amateur shot this.

Well its ugly but it was shot in the most unflattering situations which is what some people were asking for, No?
And it gives you an idea of what the footage is going to look like when in the hands of an unexperienced shooter exactly the same like if he shot it on an FS7 or an amira or a red.

I would really question the authenticity of these clips. The cameras out in the wild are pre-production models and Panasonic knows exactly who has them(they handed them to them). I don't think those that were given the cameras to shoot with by Panasonic would be so stupid as to post clips without Panasonic's permission and possibly being in violation of NDA type agreements and subject to legal action.

Odd clips showing up as the first footage from this camera. Confusing.

Yeah, agreed. Wonder if someone accidentally broke embargo.

I don't think it's the situations that are unflattering, it's just the shooter... looks shakey, a number of poorly composed shots, looks like sharpness cranked to 11 and aperture stopped way down. Also no idea what settings were shot on. Makes it hard to tell much of use, but I don't see anything incriminating from the footage. The waterfall canyon clip shows the DR stretched to the limits, but the shooter should have exposed for the highlights, and hard to tell if more detail could be pulled from the shadows down canyon. That's a pretty extreme DR stretch too, which is welcome to see, but again hard to judge with the camera in the wrong hands as the scene wasn't shot properly. The slow motion cup poor also was shot with shutter angle not accounting for light flicker. Codec starts to look stretched thin as well, but I suppose that's to be expected (would be awesome if Panny would approve a 400mbps Long GOP codec, which would really come in handy for slow motion, especially since we can't output that to an external recorder). Will look forward to more useful clips shortly.

I agree but it simply demonstrates that there is no magic camera and its really down to the shooter to pull the best he can of what the camera can do, all these new cameras are very good from the amira to the fs5 if you can't get pleasing results its not the camera.

Yes, this is not being managed well by Panasonic. The waterfalls and the glass slow-mo are less than stellar ways to introduce EVA images to the world.

Mitch - get on these guys and straighten them out.

I don't know anything about this video, but I think everyone here knows that one can f-up footage from any camera if they're clueless enough.
