Nela Pertl is the head of Panasonic Europe, so... You can assume what she says is accurate. More info should be released in the next few days. (A week from July 28 when those comments were made).

To short-circuit the expected implosion, please read what was said and do not read into it! More info does not necessarily mean footage! It may or may not, I don't know, but what I am saying is that nobody has promised that footage will be part of this s week's info release.

Barry what you have said is exactly what I expect. Mitch said that footage would come later than specs. I was posting that statement from Nela to allow people here to know when to expect specs.

Mitch is just saying he doesn't want to be quoted about scheduled announcements because it has come back to haunt him, but Nela doesn't mind being quoted about such things so I was passing that on.

Hopefully that was clear.

Perfectly, yes. No problem whatsoever. I just wanted to make clear that even though we have been discussing footage, Nela didn't, so hopefully nobody leaps to unwarranted conclusions and then gripes because their assumptions weren't met.

Not sure where Erik got his info, but he has posted on his blog that there will be full spec release this Thursday at 4pm CET (12am pst).

It seems like Newsshooter always has a pretty good scoop on things. Not sure if that info is floating around there, but just saying.

Wow, considering the view count of this thread, the Pana certainly created a buzz:)
I drank the Canon-Aid some years back and hopefully receive a C200 this month.
But as with many others, Netflix has me hooked on the Pana-Mojo (again) and I really hope the EVA will share it.
Fingers crossed.

Mitch, I am shooting some mirrorless cameras on a Zhiyun Crane hand gimbal that supports up to 3.9lb. With a weight of approximately 3lb and maybe a small prime lens, would it be possible to do some run and gun with the Zhiyun? Or would dimensions of the EVA 1 prohibit this? Thanks.

Chris

I'm not familiar enough with the limitations and capacities of that product to say.
