And looks like actual manual controls/dials for audio.

But not the typical ENG style rotary ND knob. Wouldn't it be amazing if it had a variable electronic ND!? The ND controls look totally electronic. That doesn't mean the the ND is electronic, but hoping...

We knew it had some kind of scroll wheel since page 27, but the photo didn't reference/make out the 'IRIS' text.

I'm blown away by the GH5's specs. I think the Varicam LT is sexy. If this new mystery cinema camera is between these two (and it supposedly is as it's "filling the gap") then I think I'm going to be quite happy to see it show up. If the price is right, I just might have one.

It's a big mystery because the GH5-LT price gap is easily big enough for two different cameras (or more, depending on the target market). Much like the A7SII - FS5 - FS7II - etc. We don't know if this is more FS5 or FS7II territory, price-wise OR feature-wise, so all this speculation is seriously pointless - though admittedly fun and interesting, and hopefully useful to the folks at Panasonic, to see what people want and expect.

Might as well undercut the FS7 as much as they can, they've got nothing to protect in the lower bracket unlike Canon.

And has a built in microphone. The ND filter could possibly be electronic. I like the WB/USER/ISO-switch. They should've had this on the LT. It looks like it probably has an EF-mount.

i couldn't make out much in that video (maybe my monitor is too dark or my room to bright), so I brightened it up a bit and kind of put it together. I'm not sure, if the parts are the right size & proportions in regard to each other, though...

but i guess it kind of looks like the image from page 27, just with the second/menu scroll wheel clearly visible and a more generic looking lens. :-)

No-one has pointed out that it could be also a fixed lens, we're all considering it's a EF mount.

i think we can rule that out, given everything we've already seen. but maybe, maybe that lens could be more than just a dummy.

here's the other pic from the video showing the handle, monitor and mic-mount

We'll know next week! I am getting more and more excited for this camera. As usual, beyond a vague rumor of the C200 from a rumor site at some undetermined date, radio silence from Canon. They'll lose potential C200 customers to this new Panasonic if it has what everyone wants or at least most of what everyone wants. Still hoping for a C200 announcement at Cine Gear.

Who said it isn't interchangeable? Who said it definitely is?
It should go without saying but I'll say it -- nobody has confirmed anything yet. There has been no official confirmation of anything, other than that it's making "cinema" images and has a "low cost workflow". And I believe Mitch said it's slotted in-between the GH5 and the Varicam LT.

Other than that, absolutely nothing has been confirmed (or, for that matter, disputed either). There's been a whole lot of "no comment". Anyone thinking that they've figured stuff out, may be in for a surprise. Or maybe not. That thing under the sheet may have been a mockup, so making super-x-ray photos out of it does not mean that you've discovered facts, it just means that you've x-rayed pictures of a mockup, y'know? And that mockup may or may not be accurate. Same with the video -- they haven't confirmed anything other than that "a camera" will be unveiled at CineGear. Nowhere did they say what features it would have, so blowing up and examining details may be fun, but it is not a commitment on the part of the manufacturer.

Will it have an EF mount? Well, maybe -- or maybe not. Has Mitch or any Panasonic official confirmed that yet? No, they haven't. Nor have they confirmed any of the button functions that were discussed earlier.

All you have right now is guesses based on a (possible) mockup.

Some of those guesses may turn out to be right, or they may not. The guesswork should stop next week hopefully, but even then just because they're announcing details doesn't mean they're announcing ALL the details...
