I don't see the full with the C200, frankly. If they had managed 10-bit internal 4K, then maybe. Honestly, it's more competition for the current FS5 more than anything else, and you takes your pick of good default color and DPAF vs Auto-ND and lens compatibility. I'm really looking forward to the next iteration of the FS5. If they can get internal 10-bit and IBIS, they're golden, and the only competition in the space will be whatever Panny announces later today, if the price is in the same ballpark. It's Panny's to lose, at this point, depending on what one is looking for. Certainly EF-only will turn off a lot of people, just as MFT-only (mount) will turn off a lot of people. MFT is way more flexible, so I don't quite understand that, but certainly lots of people have been complaining about it. MFT mount with S35 sensor seems to be almost infinitely more adaptable to what more people would want, using straight adapters or SpeedBoosters. *shrug*

At least, the day has arrived! Do I hear drums?

The DVX200 had some pretty heavy interest. (2,818)

One URSA Mini thread on BMCuser has 3,278 posts and broke the forum a few times.

Just trying to do my small part to help. Can't wait to see.... I have so many Canon fanboys that I work with that think the 200 is the friggin second coming. None of which have ever worked with RAW.

Yeah I remember the DVX200 having a lot of interest too. I forgot that it had that many posts.
I didn't know the Ursa broke the board! :)
Soon this new camera may ignite even more posts once we know more and start talking about actual known specs. So far we've just been speculating and hoping
 
Mitch, in all seriousness...good luck to you, Panasonic and all of us today...I know I won't be dissapointed as my needs are fairly simple, but I suspect Panny will hit this out of the ballpark, and I hope there's something for many in this camera, who's shown strong interest in this new release!
 
As for the end of the speculation, probably another 1000 pages discussing the pros and cons of this little brute!...what if there are no cons����...what would we talk about then?
