Panasonic at Sundance?

I'll be heading up to Sundance tomorrow and in year's past there has been a "Sundance Digital Center" where they have various camera manufactors and some forums. Sort of a Mini-mini-DVexpo. I guess they are calling it the "film center" this year. But they don't have any listing of events or who is going to be there.

Is Panasonic planning on being there? Will there be an HVX to play with? Anyone have any info on that?
 
I know that Jan was there last year, but this year, I have no idea if they will be.

Not sure about Panasonic this year. There are banners all over Park City that say "sponsored by HP and Adobe". Hope they have the HVX there, I need to see it again.

I'm shooting and editing a short piece for the Sundance Channel during the festival with the H1. The series is called " A Day in the Life". It's a guerrilla style shoot following a filmmaker's journey during the event. I'm not sure who I've been assigned to follow, but it should be interesting. Everyone's shooting 24p...quite a few guys runnin' around with DVX's.

Anyone else going to the festival? I'd like to meet some of my fellow posters that might be there.

I'll be there, since I live there :) . Are you going to the premiere tomorrow?

Brian, in the Digital Media Center there is one manufacturer for cameras, it is not a mini NAB. We are hosting the Filmmaker's alliance party on Wednesday. Avid is running programs on working with the HVX200 in the DMC but unfortunately we are not there.

Not sure. I'm doubting there will be passes available for that, but I'm going to ask my producer for possibilities. My shoot is Fri. thru Mon., but I will be attending some screenings here and there.

Hey guys, I'll be working @ the film center. The sponsors are Adobe, HP, Sony, Panavision and Avid. It's open to the public (no need for credentials) and there are workshops everyday. They are also showing tons of shorts there. Free wireless internet too - See you guys hopefully!!!

I know I'll be there a lot with my DVX. See you there.
 
Sounds good. I wonder if they'll let me use the DVX as well. I know it's specifically forbidden for volunteers to take pictures or videotape actors and stuff. But it's probably ok to bring the DVX for other reasons.

Probably won't hit up the demonstrations since I'll be working with FCP. Bummer there's not more a Panasonic presence.
