oooops...no variable frame rates...

but D5 video quality is truly amazing !

So, logiaclly, the new Varicam should be an HPX2000 with variable frame rates with AVC Intra codec.

Who knows...

I want Panny to release (in English, pls) the specs on the HPX 500. That should give us an idea at least of what the new Varicam should be.
What sensor they're using etc;

Here in NZ Panny are conducting Varicam training courses - I'm going along to one next week.
The tech who designed the Varicam is giving the course so it all should to prove verrry interesting.
I'm sure I won't be the only one asking a few "forward looking" questions.
