GH2 Panasonic 64GB SDXC-UHS-I Memory Card

I just ordered a Transcend class 10 SDHC 32gb for about $48 - I also have an 8GB Sandisk Extreme but I'm hoping the Transcend will handle the higher GH2 bitrates as well since it's cheaper. Would be interested in hearing whether that 64gb card would work as well.

It works great and is probably the toughest SD card you can find... assuming it's worth the cost to you.

Transcend class 10 cards also work fine, but I've already had one failure in the 4 that I bought six months ago.

Do we actually get the benefit of the speed increase with our GH2's? If the camera doesn't support SDXC-UHS-I, it will just revert back to class 10 speeds.... If that's the case then it's not worth the increased cost, unless you are paying for the better quality as opposed to Transcend etc.

I use a Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-1 card because it is much faster than my Sandisk Extreme 30mb/sec SDHC card when uploading to my PC using my Pretec USB 3.0 card reader plugged into the USB 3.0 port on my Coolermaster HAF X 942 case front panel.

Can someone explian to me the information about Read and write speeds. I only mean when it deals with the new Vitally patch and some people are recording at 110 mbs, then does a card that records around 45-60 mbs work the best or even get all the information? Its a little confusing. Will there need to eventually be a card that reads and writes at 110 mbs to fully take advantage of the new VK HACK?

My Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-1 16gb writes a lot faster then my class 10 Lexar card in the GH2 when writing raw pix - I think it is worth it

Hi everyone, please correct me if I am wrong about any of this, as I am sure you will. This is how I understand it:

All this confusion comes from the difference between a little 'b' and a capital 'B.' When you see 'Mbps,' that means Mega-BITS per second. But when you see 'MBps' with a capital B, that means Mega-BYTES per second. So basically, the cameras are rated in bits per second, while the cards are rated in bytes per second (Silly, I know). And in this case, 8 bits = 1 byte. So really, a video recorded on a Hacked GH2 at 110 Mega-BITS per second is only equal to about 13.75 Mega-BYTES per second. (110/8=13.75). A Sandisk Class 10 should be able to handle 13.75MB/s no problem, since they bench mark at around 25MB/s if I remember right.

Most cards tend to write a little slower than they read, but not by a huge margin.
