GH1 Panasonic 3D Lens on GH-1, Will it work?

Ive been looking for a cheap option to shoot 3D with my GH-1. I checked amazon and found that the panasonic 12.5mm 3D lens is being sold for about 70 bucks. I had already heard that it was a slightly poor lens, and slow with f/12.

I also read some reviews that the lens will not function whatsoever on the GH-1. Is this an older problem that has been solved by firmware updates? Or is it useless to even try?

I don't think it will work on the GH1. You have to "hack" it to shoot video with the lens on a GH2 and I've heard the result is poor.

The GH1 won't know what to do with the lens. The lens isn't for 3D video, it's for 3D stills on a GH2.

If you wanted to use it to shoot video, it *can* be done, but it's work, and the results will be standard-def, but if you want to pursue it, here's how.
