GH2 Panasonic 14-42 X Lens - anyone here use it?

I'm curious about this lens too. Not the fastest lens obviously but it looks small enough to be really useful on a gh camera or af100 in certain circumstances. All I really found on it so far is:

If the lens is decent, it would make a great piece of gear for documentary/family/run-n-gun work. It does NOT have to blow me away for it to be a part of my equipment locker. From what I have seen it gets used in a bunch of low end cameras. If I do grab it, and I think I will, I will post some footage here.

That would be great. I look forward to your review! I'd be interested in purchasing too except I currently need the pricier lumix 7-14 even more... All other lenses will just have to wait until I get my hands on that one...

Viewed at 1080p in post #2 by Norvan5 it looks pretty good except for the "swish" pans and some minor focusing problems (not the lens' fault). I don't see a problem with it, I assume the optics and optical performance to be about the same as the 14-42 "manually" zoomed "kit" lens (which I use when lighting conditions permit).

Does anyone here use this lens? I have read mixed reviews but most are focused on the photography aspect..

I've used this lens for several projects. From a portability standpoint it's very impressive and stabilized as well. Optically it performed well, but the zoom is imprecise and I have been unable to find a lens hood that doesn't vignette at full wide. Nano coating doesn't appear to help flare. I favor the Lumix 14-45, 14 f2.5 and especially 12-35 f2.8 over this lens.

I just bought the lens and one of these... http://freemod-design.com/ It wont help the vignetting but will be handy for my needs. Honestly I was mainly thinking about using it at an upcoming Rolling Stones concert. Nice to have a very portable lens to use with my GH2 while roaming around Chicago. If it turns out to be a decent lens for documentary-style work, then that would be an added bonus.

Is the Power OIS significantly better than the Mega OIS? I really want this lens for IS @14mm, almost exclusively for handheld video. Which is why I'm torn between the PZ vs. the first gen 14-42.
