Bought my 150 from an authorized dealer late in Dec 09; sent in the "rebate" form and cut-out from the box the next day, and still have not rec'd the free card.

Was this a legit offer?

Has anyone rec'd theirs yet?

Does anyone know how to track it down?

Any feedback appreciated.

Received mines a couple of weeks back and I bought my camera last September. The card in my opinion isn't that good. I got some weird errors after a couple of weeks. I eventually had to purchase another card online.

I know you're waiting for yours but don't count on it being very reliable.

It took me 2-3 months to get mine. And when I did (a 16 GB Class 10) it was unreliable - worked some times, not others. Totally unacceptable. I checked to make sure I had the latest firmware - there had been several comments on this board about that being necessary for Class 10 performance - and I did. After repeated testing, I contacted Panasonic and (after documenting my testing indicating the problem was the card and not the operator or the firmware) they accepted and return/replacement. I just got my replacement today (it took 2-3 weeks) and was mildly surprised to find that it was a Class 6. Under other circumstances I might be inclined to complain, but given my problems with the Class 10, and the posting above comparing Class 10 performance with Class 6, I'm inclined to keep it - if (and only if) it performs well. If it does, I won't post again; if it doesn't, you hear from me.

Sent in November. Nothing yet, EXCEPT received a letter from the company that is doing the rebate...said that I never sent in my receipt. Not true. I keep copies of everything I send in for rebates. Sent receipt again...haven't heard a peep.

I am not holding my breath over it.

Since this seems widespread...very poor customer relations on Panasonics part.

The rebates are processed separately from Panasonic. Like how the Panasonic Finance is "Panasonic Finance" working with/under Panasonic, but they are not actually Panasonic.

The rebates always, always take longer than expected. If there are any concerns, it never hurts to call the rebate help line (their number is printed right on the rebate). Sometimes issues do come up - ie: lost or delayed mail, typos, incorrect or missing info on the rebate form, etc.

However, the "8 - 10 weeks" for fulfillment is simply not the case. It would be nice if they clarified it takes "up to 12 weeks" and "possibly longer due to various factors".

Hopefully they will switch to an electronic rebate submission in the future. If there's an option to check the status, it would help ease people's minds ("Did they get my forms? Did they send me a check and it was mistaken for junk mail and pitched?") as well as letting you know immediately if there's something wrong.

Sorry I don't have any other advice, aside from exercise patience and call if it's been 6+ months.

Rebate delays-Panasonic HMC 150 16 gig SD card

Rebate delays-Panasonic HMC 150 16 gig SD card

I too sent my rebate form in January and called today. The rebate company said to call back in a month, so I called Panasonic at 800 524-1448 and spoke with a Panasonic representative, at first he suggested that I call the rebate company back and discuss this with a supervisor to see if I could get some results. In turn I asked that they take this higher up at Panasonic, so he gave me a ticket # and said he would have someone higher up look into the problem.

I explained to the Panasonic representative that this third party company represents Panasonic and that from a customers perspective Panasonic made the rebate offer not the third party company.
